Biggest Upset in College Football History

Mountaineers 34, Wolverines 32: These people are still happy
Appalachian State students were running around campus wearing "Michigan Who?" T-shirts after the Division I-AA team stunned No. 5 Michigan 34-32 Saturday in front of 100,000 fans at the Big House.

Headline writers had fun, too:
Charlotte (N.C.) Observer: APP-ELATION!
Asheville (N.C.) Citizen-Times: WOW!!!
Detroit Free Press: APPALLING
ESPN.com: HOUSE BROKEN
Sporting News: GRADE AA UPSET

Upset by numbers
$400,000
Amount Michigan paid Appalachian State to visit the Big House.

Priceless
The Mountaineers' memories of shocking the winningest team in college football history.

15
Appalachian State's winning streak -- longest in the nation.

Up next: Division II Lenoir-Rhyne (0-1)
"I'm not worried about Lenoir-Rhyne," ASU coach Jerry Moore said. "I'll worry about that on Tuesday.
"What we just did at Michigan, they've got to really, really bathe in it and enjoy and cherish the moment. I'm not about to rob our staff, our school, our town and particularly these players, to enjoy what they just did."

And looking really far ahead . . .
"We play Florida in 2010," said Corey Lynch, whose blocked kick secured Saturday's win. "But I will have graduated."
